Last night I went to see the stage adaptation of this quintessentially British film, and I think everyone in the room can agree that it was very well put together. With a very small cast, production team and space a lot could have gone wrong, but it didn’t. Attracting the most laughs (and my personal favourite) was Uncle Monty; he was played very well and kept everyone entertained with his flamboyance and sherry fuelled antics. Withnail and Marwood (I) were also very well played, and the actors filled their roles with some personal quirks and nuances that added a St Andrew’s spin to things. Although the show did seem to drag somewhat towards the end, and general consensus agreed that some of the film’s best loved lines were not delivered with the prowess they deserved – there was hardly any fault with it. Well done guys!

It took less than a day for all of the online tickets for Calvin Harris in Venue 1 to sell out. The number one question I’ve been hearing around town is “is Calvin actually coming?” I guess that question has kind of been answered by the Union earlier today when they started selling tickets but for those of you who are still unsure, I can tell you with absolute confidence. CALVIN IS COMING. I’ll see you all there!

Its official, Calvin Harris is coming to St. Andrews. According to the facebook event (I know – reliable source, right?), he is playing early in dundee then gonna run over hear for a short set (probably from 12-1). No word on the price yet, but I’m gonna guess no less than £9 pre-sale then probably £12 or £13 at the door. That means buy your tickets early, kids!

And now for your listening pleasure:
