Trick or Treat? by celeste

Yes, its that time of year again, and I absolutely adore this photograph, which brings me to the point. What to wear on October the 31st? I know that everyone loves a good cliché now and again, but Continue reading

Talk About Eye Candy by Sara

I was browsing through Urban Outfitter’s beauty products and came across these ridiculous fake lashes! Pretty awesome right? I’d love to see someone sporting them in Fresher’s week, anyone up for the challenge?

So the sun is shining, and I’m in the library supposedly writing an essay – naturally that leads to procrastination. But this time I discovered something pretty cool. A Brazilian artist named Romero Britto, famous for his colourful crayola inspired art work, usually its a bit too crazy for me – multi-coloured kittens or giant flower power apples really aren’t my thing when it comes to art. But when I read that he likes to express his artistic madness onto cars, I was pretty intrigued to find out that one of his latest projects was to inject some acrylic madness onto a Bentley GT Continental. The contrast between this classically cool car and its  bold blue and flowery body work look pretty awesome, and he is currently displaying it in a Berlin Gallery before he puts it up for a charity auction later this year — I wonder if they will let you take it for a test drive!?

One of a kind nights can get overlooked – especially in St. Andrews. Lets hope iGod isn’t one of those. From everything that I’ve heard, it is gonna be a unique night in St. Andrews. All we can hope for is that they get the kind of support that events such as Calvin Harris had. Basically its an hour long play with a rave afterwards. Its not an ordinary play though – instead of chairs, there are pillows and the floor. Instead of collecting tickets at the door, a glass of champagne is given to every patron. I’d like to see this work out if for no other reason than if this works, there will be much more fun, interesting and enjoyable theater coming our way.

Below are photos from their new photoshoot. Its the strange mix of gothic and minimal that kind of catches my eye.

Good luck, iGod.

… but I like these pieces! I mean hello pop art of our generation or what? I dunno if I really get the subheadings, but I love the fact that someone chose to make them. Actually that someone is French artist, Stéphane Massa-Bidal. Massa-Bidal fashioned these prints of our favorite websites after 60’s book cover designs. I especially like the MySpace one, thats pretty much the only sub-header I do get. Personally I think he should do another one for Gizmodo too. If your so inclined to purchase one please visit retrofuturs for more information.
